Welcome to Russian School of MUSIC!
We offer professional music lessons in Auckland. Here is the information about our school.
The Russian School of MUSIC “Our home” (RSM) was founded one and a half year ago as an organisation to advance education in music. It is based on the legendary Russian musical tradition and provides a first class, well-rounded music education for children and young people in New Zealand.
Our teachers have been trained in the Russian tradition and combine their teaching with New Zealand educational standards and experiences.
We offer individual lessons in piano, voice, violin and group lessons in theory of music (solfeggio, aural skills, music literature and styles) and vocal group (extra).
The Russian pedagogical tradition invites pupils to access music education from their early years. Our programme of study is based on Russian system but developed by schools of England – Trinity College and Royal School of Music. It includes one/two instrumental lessons per week, theory lessons and choral training. The emphasis is on getting to know and explore a wide and diverse repertoire including Russian composers.
All our pupils are given regular opportunities to perform in public and those who demonstrate exceptional dedication to music are given further opportunities to perform alongside professional musicians.
We preserve and nurture creativity in our students to enable them enjoying music to its fullest. We strive to provide music education of exceptional quality and to share the wonderful experience of classical and contemporary music.
We put all our heats into our students and develop an individual learning plan that works best for your kids!
We have two student recitals per year and provide additional performance opportunities to dedicated students
We strongly support our students' success offering intensive learning programs
ABRSM and TRINITY exams
The curriculum for the study developed by these schools (Royal School of Music, Trinity College) is considered the music education system in New Zealand
